The population of India is such that the extent of urban poverty in India has a substantial impact on the world urban poverty. Therefore, it is very important to get a better representation and understanding of urban poverty in India. MBA students of TERI University launch their first quarterly newsletter “Connect”. The newsletter would serve as an information sharing tool to reach out to the corporate sector, academia, TERI alumni and the general public.

TERI University Hosts its Fourth Convocation

Nine doctoral degrees and 157 master’s degrees awarded at the Fourth Convocation Ceremony. Nobel laureate Dr. Elinor Ostrom and Dr. R. K. Pachauri stressed on the need to spread knowledge in areas of major significance to human endeavour and sustainable living. 

New Delhi – With the growing need for developing alternative methods through specialized education to create a sustainable living, TERI University graduates at their convocation ceremony on February 1, dedicated themselves to the importance of environmental protection and the need to maintain equity, ecological security, and the wealth of global natural resources.

MA-SDP Students of TERI University to Organize SYNOD 2012

New Delhi – Much has been said about the phenomenon of climate change, and much has been deliberated about the concept of ‘Sustainable Development’ ever since the Rio Summit in 1992. TERI BCSD and NASSCOM Launch Report on “Sustainable Tomorrow: Harnessing ICT Potential”

The Initiative is aimed at creating a cleaner and greener future by identifying opportunities for IT sector to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

 

New Delhi – On December 22, 2011, TERI-BCSD (The Energy and Resources Institute – Business Council for Sustainable Development) and NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) launched a report titled, “Sustainable Tomorrow: Harnessing ICT Potential”. The report is an attempt to bring together the entire ecosystem of users and providers of IT applications and services that can help meet the goals of climate change and environment sustainability.
