Tetra Tech ARD is accepting expressions of interest from qualified experts for a range of anticipated short-term technical assistance needed for a USAID-funded Forest Carbon, Markets and Communities program (FCMC). FCMC’s two major deliverables include assisting countries with ambitious REDD+ plans by building capacity within those countries to achieve long-term net emissions reductions from forests and land use, and contribute to the evolving international REDD+ framework.

Anticipated countries for targeted field work in the Latin America and Caribbean region include Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Peru. Anticipated countries in South Asia include India, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Cambodia. Anticipated countries in Africa include Zambia, Ghana and Democratic Republic of Congo. Nationals of these countries are strongly encouraged to apply as well.

Tetra Tech ARD seeks the following illustrative technical expertise:

• Low Emission Development Strategies
• Land Use and Sector Inventories
• Land Use Planning
• Social and Environmental Safeguards
• Carbon Finance
• Measurement, Reporting and Verification
• Project Development

• At least a Master’s degree in Environmental Finance, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Science, Economics, Natural Resource Management, or in a related field; PhD preferred
• At least 5 years experience in climate change mitigation or adaptation, payment for environmental services, carbon markets (voluntary or regulatory), and/or NRM project finance
• Experience supervising or working in complex field operations in closed and/or transitional or developing countries
• Experience working with USAID, international government officials, and multilateral and donor organizations preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• English proficiency required
